When she’s not busy eating salt and vinegar potato chips, Delia Kashat dedicates herself to personal health.
“Do your daily dose of greens, have good moisturizer, have a good morning routine for self-care — that’s honestly so important, and then everything else will follow.”
Her routine, along with getting a proper amount of sleep, serves her well, given her hectic lifestyle. Kashat is working on her second master’s degree at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in conjunction with her job as a congressional staffer for Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-Mich.).
“I don’t have a life,” Kashat jokes.
But along with her healthy lifestyle, her drive helps keep her going.
“You have to really have this go-getter mindset, that’s how you will survive in D.C,” Kashat says. “You just have to be very ambitious.”
Just make sure to get those greens.
