Ad: Voters have fallen out of love with Obama

The conservative group Americans For Shared Prosperity is out today with an ad, “Dating Profile,” that suggests voters have fallen out of love with President Obama and should ditch the Democrats in the November midterms.

{mosads}The woman in the ad says she fell in love with Obama in 2008 and stuck with him in 2012, though she knew their relationship was on the rocks.

“He told me we’d be safe — have you looked at the news? He’s in my emails and text messages, spying on me but ignoring real threats,” the woman says.

“He said that we’d finally get on our feet financially. I’ll never pay down what he’s spent,” she goes on. “He thinks the only thing I care about is free birth control but he won’t even let me keep my own doctor.

“I know I’m stuck with Barack for two more years, but I’m not stuck with his friends.”

The conservative advocacy group ran this ad and another one across several networks during the Sunday morning talk shows. The spots are aimed at portraying women as voters who care about a range of issues, including the economy, national security and education, and pushing back against Democrats’ allegations that the GOP is waging a “war on women.”
