Warren, Biden to address liberal donors of Democracy Alliance

Vice President Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) are set to address the Democracy Alliance conference in Washington this week, according to a Wednesday report, fueling 2016 presidential speculation for both.

At last year’s Democracy Alliance conference, a Warren candidacy was a hot topic among the wealthy donors, BuzzFeed reported at the time.

{mosads}The group’s president, Gara LaMarche, told The Washington Post that the invitation to Warren did not indicate a preference for her in the Democratic primary, and he expects Hillary Clinton to speak at a future conference.

“As Secretary Clinton herself said recently, Senator Warren is a leading economic voice in the party,” LaMarche said. “We want to have a strong emphasis on the economy and we asked her to kick off that section.”

Clinton praised Warren as a “passionate champion for working people” at an event in Boston last month.

Biden is scheduled to address the conference’s closing event, at the Newseum, on Friday night, called a “Progressive Victory Party,” according to the Post

“DA is scrupulously neutral in presidential politics,” LaMarche said.
