The video, posted on Instagram, highlights quotes Cruz’s former rivals for the GOP nomination made before they dropped out and endorsed him.
{mosads}It starts with an interview with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who ended his campaign last month and endorsed Cruz earlier this week.
“Have a little bit of self-restraint,” Bush says when asked what his message is for Cruz.
The clip is from an October 2013 interview with Bush regarding ObamaCare.
Businesswoman Carly Fiorina, who also endorsed Cruz after suspending her campaign, was quoted from a CNN interview.
“Cruz is just like any other politician,” she said at the time. “He says whatever he needs to say to get elected.”
The video then skips to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
“Ted Cruz is not my favorite by any means,” he says.
Graham said earlier Thursday that Ohio Gov. John Kasich is the best Republican presidential candidate but can’t win the nomination. He has made many harsh comments about Cruz in the past but said he was the best alternative to beat Trump.
The video ends with by displaying the words “With friends like these, who needs enemies?”
