Sanders showed up in a suit with a blue striped tie. 

Sanders's press secretary tweeted that he doesn't own a tuxedo. 

Sanders is a guest of CBS News at the ritzy event, attended by political bigwigs and Hollywood stars and headlined this year by comedian Larry Wilmore and President Obama.
