"Doing our job, one bill at a time," @SenateGOP tweeted Thursday afternoon, adding a #SquadGoals hashtag.

McConnell has made a point of showing that the Senate can function under a Republican majority. The GOP faces a tough map this fall, defending 24 seats, many of them in states won by President Obama in 2008 and 2012.

Democrats would need to gain five seats — or four seats if they keep the presidency — to take back the majority.

The Senate Republican Conference came up with the idea for the video, which was created by its creative director Jonathan Gallegos. The conference, which is chaired by Thune, wanted to tout their new policies in a new way.

The senators agreed to participate after they saw the Wes Anderson-esque concept.
