FBI investigating security of Clinton’s emails

The agency reached out to the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate’s lawyer last week to ask about the security of a flash drive that holds copies of Clinton’s private emails.
Clinton is not being accused of wrongdoing, the report said.
Last month, federal officials said they had been asked to investigate the email server. Clinton at the time pushed back at reports that two inspectors general from the Justice Department were investigating, suggesting “the heat is getting to everybody.”
The State Department last week released a batch of thousands of Clinton’s emails from her time at the agency, as mandated by a federal court order requiring the department to continuously release documents.
The email controversy has continued to dog Clinton’s campaign. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is within 6 points of her in New Hampshire, according to a Tuesday poll.
However, Clinton still holds a commanding lead overall in a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
