{mosads}The messaging from MoveOn, which has served as an incubator for grassroots fundraising and online strategies for Democratic candidates, dovetails with efforts by the national Democratic Party to undercut Romney’s claims to be a job-creation guru. Democratic officials and supporters of President Obama, who see Romney as the biggest threat to a second Obama term, are undertaking a serious push to call attention to instances where Romney’s firm laid off workers at companies it bought in order to restore profitability for its investors.

Romney’s campaign has pushed back against those attacks and said that although not every business Bain Capital took over ended up successful, the overall track record was excellent and that Romney can be credited with the creation of thousands of jobs.
