Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said if she's elected president in 2012, she'd be willing to serve just a single term in office, "if that's what it takes in order to turn things around."

The rumored presidential hopeful made the comments in an interview with the Des Moines Register

"I'm a principled reformer and my goal is to see the country turn around," Bachmann told the paper. "I'm also committed to being a one-term president if that's what it takes in order to turn things around, because this is not about a personal amibition."

Bachmann is expected to form a presidential exploratory committee by early June and is increasing her presence on the campaign trail in the early states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

The Minnesota Republican is back in Iowa Monday for two speeches hosted by The Family Leader — a social conservative group headed by former gubernatorial hopeful Bob Vander Plaats.
