Speaking to reporters ahead of a South Carolina town hall on Saturday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush dismissed claims that campaign cuts represent a crisis for his presidential bid.
“Blah, blah, blah,” Bush told reporters, according to USA Today. “That’s my answer: Blah, blah, blah.”
According to a memo obtained by The Hill on Friday, his campaign is slashing salaries for mid- and senior-level staffers in its Miami headquarters, shifting resources and personnel to early-voting states.
Bush elaborated that he’s made “an adjustment to harness the resources of our campaign which are probably more than other campaigns” and said the move reflects an "all-in" approach to early-voting states.
“That’s where you’re going to see me,” he added.
Bush said his campaign has raised “a lot of money,” citing a rally in Detroit in which he said he raised $540,000.
“I don’t think anybody else is coming close to that,” he said.
