Cruz, who is running for president, criticized political correctness for discouraging the pursuit of truth.

The forum, moderated by pollster Frank Luntz, was attended by six other GOP primary candidates, several of whom also bashed political correctness after protesters periodically interrupted the event.
Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson called political correctness a form of “intimidation,” and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said the ideology only serves to bolster liberal prerogatives.
