Trump vows: ‘They’re not going to take your guns away’

“The Second Amendment is so important,” the businessman told supporters at a rally in Claremont, N.H. “They’re not going to take your guns away.”

The rally came hours after President Obama unveiled his executive order to curb gun violence and expand background checks.
 
Trump brought up Obama’s Tuesday address at the White House, which was met with a chorus of boos.
 
“Who could blame you, honestly, after what we’ve gone through for years?” Trump said about Obama.
 
Trump blasted Obama for sidestepping Congress to create tighter gun regulations. 
 
“Wouldn’t it be nice actually get Congress together and do it the old fashioned way?” the billionaire asked.
 
He continued to criticize the president’s use of executive order: “It’s not good, it’s not fair, and they’re not going to screw with the Second Amendment.”
 
Trump holds a commanding lead in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire with 26.3 percent, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.
 
The state’s primary will be held Feb. 9.
