Florida's new congressional map is currently tied up in the courts, but under the current draft, Young will be running for reelection in a district that Obama would have won by about 52 percent. Alex Sink, the Democratic nominee for governor in 2010, won the district by 2 percentage points, Democrats said.

"Rep. Young has lost touch with our values and our priorities and has become a symbol of what’s wrong with Washington," Ehrlich said, claiming he had been focused on ending Medicare and kowtowing to special interests.
