Legal troubles continued to haunt Reps. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.) and Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) on Wednesday, with new reports that FBI agents have questioned former Grimm campaign staffers about him and a court ruling that Buchanan will have to testify in a lawsuit between him and a former business partner who has testified he intentionally broke federal election laws.

Buchanan's former business partner alleges that Buchanan asked him to help solicit illegal contributions from his employees, a potential black eye for one of the National Republican Congressional Committee's fundraising heads. He's also facing an ongoing investigation from the House Ethics Committee.

Grimm is facing an ongoing probe into whether he received illegal campaign donations and strong-armed people into donating to his campaign.

Both are facing potentially competitive elections, largely because of these ongoing investigations. The Hill rates both Grimm's race a tossup, and Buchanan's "lean Republican."
