"Pete Aguilar has always put the needs of people first and foremost, and he’ll be a strong advocate for revitalizing the Inland Empire’s economy, creating jobs and ensuring that our seniors have the security that they've earned," Feinstein says in her endorsement. "Pete is the effective leader that the people of San Bernardino County deserve fighting for them in Washington."

Aguilar has the backing of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and has already secured the endorsements of a number of congressmen. But Baca is well known in the area, having represented parts of the district before, and Gomez Reyes is likely to receive the backing of EMILY's List, which backs pro-abortion rights female Democrats. Both Aguilar and Gomez Reyes released fairly impressive fundraising hauls in recent days.

National Democrats are bullish about taking out Rep. Gary Miller (R-Calif.) in the Democratic-leaning district, but feel their best chance to do so is with Aguilar, and are doing all they can to help push him through the contested primary.
