Huntsman campaign moves HQ to New Hampshire

“As evidenced by recent polling, Jon Huntsman’s support with New Hampshire voters continues to grow every day and this move will ensure that we have the resources necessary to win the First in the Nation primary,” Huntsman campaign manager Matt David said. “Success in New Hampshire is vital for our campaign to have the momentum we need to succeed in South Carolina, Florida and the states that follow.”

The campaign plans to keep offices in Florida and South Carolina.

{mosads}The move reflects the campaign’s hopes that if it can nourish the upward trend of his polling numbers in the state, Huntsman can go on to other early primary states and creep up on the front-runners in the Republican primary.

Huntsman seems to be betting it all on doing reasonably well in New Hampshire and shedding poor polling numbers that have plagued him since he jumped into the race. Recently, Huntsman highlighted the improved polling numbers and said he was no longer a “margin-of-error candidate.”

The move will include some layoffs of Huntsman staff.
