“He must have a very unusual relationship with women,” Sanders told supporters in Council Bluffs, Iowa, according to BuzzFeed News.
“I also went to the bathroom” during Saturday’s debate, he added. “I’ve got to admit it.”
He mockingly declared that Trump, the GOP presidential front-runner, “has discovered that women go to the bathroom and it’s very upsetting for him.”
Trump on Monday said it was “disgusting” that Clinton missed a brief portion of Saturday’s Democratic debate for a trip to the restroom.
“I know where she went, it’s disgusting, I don’t want to talk about it,” Trump said. “No, it’s too disgusting. Don’t say it, it’s disgusting, let’s not talk.”
He also said Clinton got “schlonged” in the 2008 presidential election — seemingly a crude reference.
Trump on Tuesday defended the term, saying it is not vulgar and simply means to be “beaten badly.”
