“It’s a shame,” he told host Stephen K. Bannon on SiriusXM’s “Breitbart News Daily." "We do have good relationships with a lot of those people."

Trump and Fox News are feuding over the cable news network's coverage of the GOP presidential front-runner; Trump is skipping Thursday night's GOP debate moderated by Fox.

A press release sent out by Fox that made fun of Trump has been cited as a last straw by the real estate mogul's campaign, which also argues Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly treated its candidate unfairly in the first debate.

“He’s not going to sit there watching these guys raking in billions of dollars in advertising while simultaneously mocking him,” Trump Jr. said of his father.

“It has nothing to do with Megyn Kelly,” he added of the debate moderator. "He’s not afraid of anyone.

“A press release that is that inflammatory and childish, that doesn’t come from a low-level guy in the marketing department. Those guys aren’t that high in power.”

Trump Jr. also rejected suggestions that his father’s counter event promoting care for military veterans is a political stunt.

“It has nothing to do with being a politician,” he said of the rally in Des Moines Thursday evening, held three miles from the debate.

“These are great men and women who have sacrificed a lot for our country and we don’t take care of them, we don’t educate their kids,” Trump Jr. continued.

“He is disgusted with the way they’ve been treated and he’s been saying this for a long time. It’s not an act, it’s not a show. This is not a new topic for him.”
