Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Wednesday accused primary rival John Kasich of running negative ads against him while simultaneously attacking his opponents for going negative.

{mosads}“Well, I like him a lot, I think he’s a nice guy,” Trump said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” of the Ohio governor. “Unfortunately, going to the airport two days ago, I heard a commercial, and the commercial was a little bit negative, and I said, I wonder who did that commercial.”

“It was a negative commercial of me, and it was John Kasich,” he added.

“You know, he talked about he’s not going negative, but he did a negative commercial on me, so I didn’t like that.”

Trump, who finished first in the New Hampshire primary to Kasich’s second, said he might have to take “a little bit tougher stance” on Kasich before the South Carolina primary.

He also said the Ohio governor “got a little bit lucky” with an oil boom in his state.

“Well I think he hit oil, that’s what I think,” Trump said when asked about Kasich’s record as governor. “What happened is he got a little bit lucky, but he also let them go after it, unlike other governors who didn’t let them go after it, they were fracking in Ohio.”

“They hit oil in primetime when the prices were at high, and [it] makes up for a lot of sins, a lot of errors and difficulties,” he added.
