Rand Paul pledges to 'un-suspend' campaign if NH paper endorses him

The paper, which endorsed New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in the New Hampshire primary, retracted its endorsement of the former candidate on Monday night after Christie endorsed front-runner Donald TrumpDonald John TrumpJoe Arpaio loses bid for his old position as sheriff Trump brushes off view that Russia denigrating Biden: 'Nobody's been tougher on Russia than I have' Trump tees up executive orders on economy but won't sign yet MORE last week.

The paper wrote in an editorial that it has made a bad decision with its endorsement of Christie. It slammed Christie's decision to endorse Trump, saying the governor said he never would back the real estate mogul.

"Watching Christie kiss the Donald’s ring this weekend — and make excuses for the man Christie himself had said was unfit for the presidency — demonstrated how wrong we were," the editorial said.

Paul dropped out of the presidential race after a disappointing finish in the Iowa caucuses. Christie suspended his campaign following the New Hampshire primary.
