Clinton echoes Cruz: 'Vote your conscience'

 "Vote your conscience," the Democrat's camp said in a tweet Wednesday night alongside a link on her website to check voter registration.

Cruz riled the convention in Cleveland by largely ignoring Trump in his lengthy speech. Many had hoped that after a rough primary campaign and continued animosity between Cruz and Trump that the Texas senator would help unite the party with an endorsement. 

Cruz instead congratulated Trump for securing the presidential nomination but told the crowd: “Stand and speak and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution."
