Sanders live-tweeted the speech Thursday, firing off criticisms at the businessman. 

"Trump: 'I alone can fix this.' Is this guy running for president or dictator? #RNCwithBernie," the Vermont senator said in a tweet that got nearly 25,000 retweets and 30,000 likes.

During the speech, Trump cited Sanders’s criticism of presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonHillary Clinton responds to Chrissy Teigen tweet: 'I love you back' Trump fights for battleground Arizona Biden leads Trump by 12 in new national poll MORE’s judgment. The GOP nominee said supporters of Sanders's presidential bid will join his campaign after the "rigged" primary season.

“Those who voted for me will not support Trump who has made bigotry and divisiveness the cornerstone of his campaign,” Sanders tweeted in response.
Sanders tweeted responses to Trump throughout the speech at the Republican National Convention using the hashtag and posted a picture of himself watching the address.
