Assange: Clinton lied about not knowing what ‘(C)’ stood for

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange says Hillary Clinton lied when she told the FBI she did not know what “(C)” stood for on government documents.

{mosads}”Hillary Clinton says that she can’t remember what a C in brackets stands for,” Assange told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Tuesday. The symbol is a C in parentheses.

“Everyone in positions of government and at WikiLeaks knows it stands for ‘classified confidential,’ ” he added.

“We have already released thousands of cables by Hillary Clinton … thousands of examples where she herself has used the C in brackets and signed it off, and more than 22,000 times that she has received cables from others with this C in brackets.”

Assange then took out a printed copy of an email and pointed to Clinton’s signature on the bottom and then the classified mark at the top.

“Here she is. Clinton. See, that’s her signature, with a C in brackets right there,” he said.

“So it’s absolutely incredible for Clinton to lie. She is lying about not knowing what that is. But it’s a bit disturbing that [FBI Director] James Comey goes along with that game.”

The FBI on Friday released their summary of the investigation into Clinton’s private email server. It notes that the former secretary of State thought that the letter C atop documents “was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order.”

Clinton on Tuesday apologized for mishandling classified information, adding that she takes the issue “seriously.”
