Conservative media was dominated on Thursday by claims Hillary Clinton was wearing an earpiece during a nationally televised presidential forum on veterans affairs the previous evening.

The story originally took off via a tweet from actor James Woods to his 405,000 followers:

The Drudge Report has since made speculation around what was or was not in Clinton’s ear as its feature story, linking to an article on InfoWars.

Donald Trump Jr. also took to Twitter to spread the speculation further.

{mosads}Clinton held a short press conference on Thursday, but no questions were asked pertaining to an earpiece.

The Clinton campaign has recently warned the media to tread carefully in its coverage of the Democratic nominee, particularly as it pertains to questions around her health.
