WikiLeaks has jumped into the ongoing theory that Hillary ClintonHillary Diane Rodham ClintonPaul Ryan defends Navy admiral after Trump's criticism Retired Army General: Trump is ‘acting like an 8th grader’ in attacking ex-Navy SEAL who led bin Laden operation Questions grow about FBI vetting of Christopher Steele’s Russia expertise MORE wore a secret earpiece during a presidential forum Wednesday night.

The organization shared a photo of an 2009 email on Thursday night that showed Huma Abedin, a top aide and longtime Clinton confidante, asking the then-secretary of State about an earpiece.

“Did u take your earpiece or do I need to get it,” Abedin asks in the email dated Sept. 23, 2009.

An image of President Obama and Clinton from that day quickly surfaced on Twitter showing the two wearing earpieces, used for language interpretation, as they attend a United Nations meeting.

The conspiracy theory that Clinton had been fed answers took root following NBC News's "Commander-in-Chief Forum" on Wednesday night when a picture circulated the internet showing what looks like a glare casting a white shape into Clinton's ear.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has recently teased that the organization would leak new information that would be damaging to the Democratic nominee.

"The first batch is reasonably soon. We are quite confident about it now,” Assange told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Tuesday night. “We might put out some teasers as early as the next week or the week after.”
