Donald Trump raised the possibility he was purposely given a defective microphone during Monday night’s presidential debate.
When asked about moderator Lester Holt’s performance, Trump said he did “fine.” But then the candidate said debate organizers “gave me a defective mic.”
{mosads}“Did you notice that?” he asked a reporter. “My mic was defective within the room.
“No, no — I wonder. Was that on purpose? Was that on purpose?” the GOP contender added. “But I had a mic that wasn’t worked — working properly. But overall, I thought it was great. And if you look at the polls, they’re though the roof.”
No microphone problem was apparent during the television broadcast of the debate. Trump, however, was heard sniffling repeatedly throughout the night.
