“I won the debate if you decide without watching the totally one-sided ‘spin’ that followed,” Trump tweeted. “This despite the really bad microphone.”

The Commission on Presidential Debates said in a one-sentence statement Friday that there was an issue with Trump’s microphone that affected “the sound level in the debate hall.”

Still, Trump’s performance was widely panned by both pundits and voters, according to a number of polls released in the days since.
