Toward the end of the debate, Kaine again brought it up.

“You’ve whipped out that Mexican thing again,” Pence shot back.

Kaine brought up many derisive comments from Trump throughout the debate.

He challenged Pence throughout the debate to defend the GOP presidential nominee's comments about immigrants, women and others.

"He is showing you who he is," Kaine said of Trump during the debate.
