Earlier this month, the Trump campaign severed ties with Borges, alleging he used his position to push to become the next Republican National Committee chairman.

Borges was open about his indecision over supporting Trump and announced his vote on Sunday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

"I will be supporting a straight Republican ticket — starting with Donald Trump for President," he wrote in an email to Ohio Republican insiders obtained by The Enquirer.
