Gov. Daniels spoke to George W. Bush about potential White House run
With the Indiana legislature’s session wrapped up, Daniels said he’s in the process of determining whether to mount a White House bid. “I know I owe people an answer,” he said.
Daniels sounded disappointed while talking about Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour’s decision not to seek the GOP’s 2012 presidential nomination.
“It would have been fun to be in it together,” said Daniels, who served with Barbour in the Reagan White House.
Daniels is in the midst of an East Coast swing.
He picked up an award from the Columbia Business School in New York on Monday. He’s in Baltimore on Tuesday to accept the Ronald Reagan Award from the Harbour League, a conservative advocacy group. And he’ll be Washington on Wednesday to give a speech on education at the American Enterprise Institute.
