Trump implied a romantic relationship between Brzezinski and fellow co-host Joe Scarborough in tweets marking the latest shots fired in the GOP White House nominee's war on the media.
The comments came the same morning Scarborough and Brzezinski mocked a recent speech from Trump in Fredericksburg, Va., which they found rambling.
"He belted like, honestly ... like he's had a lot to drink," Brzezinski said.
Scarborough responded to Trump's attacks on Twitter, advising him to focus on the general election:

Trump has repeatedly criticized “Morning Joe” for its coverage of his presidential campaign. Earlier this month, he called Scarborough “sad and irrelevant,” citing the show's “low ratings” as evidence.
And Scarborough earlier this month urged Republicans to remove Trump as their party’s presidential nominee.
“A bloody line has been crossed that cannot be ignored,” he wrote in an Aug. 9 op-ed for The Washington Post.
“At long last, Donald Trump has left the Republican Party few options but to act decisively and get this political train wreck off the tracks before something terrible happens.”
Trump's Monday tweets could feed into criticism that he is disrespectful toward women. Last year, the real estate mogul jousted with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, including remarks that many found sexist.
