The report, citing four unidentified Senate sources, says that Reid has grown confident that Democrats would be able to hold on to Warren’s seat if she vacates it to be vice president.

The Boston Globe reported last week that Reid had tapped a lawyer in Washington, D.C., to review Massachusetts election law to weigh his options for how to keep her seat blue.

Clinton has kept quiet about who she intends to pick as her running mate but said this week that “maybe” the country is ready for a two-woman presidential ticket.
