A New York businessman gearing up to challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) is raising eyebrows after a series of lewd blog posts about sex and drugs were discovered attached to his company’s website.

Marc Cenedella (R), who has been building support for a Senate run, founded the employment site theladders.com. The posts were found on a site that until recently included his name and photograph and was located at blog.theladders.com/rock, The New York Times reported.

{mosads}Some of the topics of the blog entries: “Dating Advice for Girly Girls,” “High Quality Dope,” “Sexy vs. Skanky” and “He Stole My Weed.”

Others linked to sites that said the Bible promoted polygamy and that March 14 was a special holiday where women should demonstrate their appreciation for their significant others through steak dinners and oral sex.

A spokesman for Cenedella told the newspaper that the site was not his actual blog, but a “maintanence staging site” that tested content from other sources. The site has been modified to prevent public access.

Gillibrand, speaking at a university forum on Monday, said the site was “very anti-women and very disrespectful and disregards women,” according to TV network NY1.

The popular senator is considered to be a safe bet for reelection in New York, but with Cenedella’s ability to pour millions of his own money into the race, he could force Democrats to spend crucial campaign cash to defend the seat if he officially enters the race.
