“Yes, I do plan to run for reelection,” she told a local radio station.

{mosads}Hagan will likely be a top GOP target in the Republican-leaning state, though it’s unclear at this point who will step up to challenge her.

The first-term senator faces tough approval ratings in North Carolina. An early November poll from the Democratic-affiliated Public Policy Polling showed her favorable rating at 35 percent and her unfavorable rating at 37 percent.

Senate Democrats could have a tough election cycle in 2014: Hagan is just one of a number of swing-state and red-state incumbents up for reelection, while few Republicans hail from swing or Democratic states.
