The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee outraised the National Republican Senatorial Committee by $16 million in 2013.

The DSCC raised $52.6 million in 2014 including $4 million in December, while the NRSC brought in $36.6 million for the year and $3.4 million in December.

The NRSC has been consistently outraised by its Democratic counterparts over the year, though the gap between the two has been narrowing in recent months. The DSCC also came out of the 2012 elections with millions in debt which it's still paying down.

The two have nearly identical sums to spend on races. The DSCC has $12 million cash on hand and carries $3.75 million in debt, while the NRSC has $8 million in the bank and no debt.
