Jim Oberweis, according to multiple TV networks.  


Durbin, the Senate majority whip, has served in the upper chamber since 1997. He previously served in the House from 1993. 

He had been leading Oberweis in recent polls by about 10 percentage points in the Democratic-leaning state.
