But the president said even if the 22nd Amendment — which limits presidents to two terms — didn't exist, he'd still be out of the running.

Last month, a satirical website suggesting the president was launching a campaign for a third term briefly made waves on the internet. The article, from a website called the National Report, gained enough prominence that fact-checking website PolitiFact devoted a story to shooting it down.
