Sanders came in fourth place, according to a Reuters report.

Sanders ran under the Green Party banner for the seat held by former Prime Minister David Cameron, who stepped down in July after Britain voted in a referendum to leave the European Union. 

Earlier this month, the Vermont senator and one-time Democratic presidential candidate endorsed his brother's candidacy for a seat in the House of Commons and posted a video message urging his election. 

But it wasn't enough to push his brother's candidacy forward — Larry Sanders came in fourth, with about 3 percent of the vote.
