Susan Sarandon endorses Jill Stein

Actress Susan Sarandon formally endorsed Green Party candidate Jill Stein on Monday.

"Fear of Donald TrumpDonald TrumpRomney blasts end of filibuster, expansion of SCOTUS McConnell, GOP slam Biden's executive order on SCOTUS US raises concerns about Iran's seriousness in nuclear talks MORE is not enough for me to support Clinton, with her record of corruption," Sarandon wrote in a letter to Stein that was posted on her campaign website.

"I'm therefore very happy to endorse Jill Stein for the presidency because she does stand for everything I believe in," she added.

In June, she called Clinton "more dangerous" than Trump.

The actress, in her litter, listed 11 reasons why she is not supporting the Democratic nominee, including Clinton's support for offshore drilling and "unconditional military aid to Israel."

"It's clear a third party is necessary and viable at this time. And this is the first step in accomplishing this end," said Sarandon.
