A U.S. consular officer was shot outside the consulate in Guadalajara, Mexico, and officials are looking for the suspect.

The FBI is offering a $20,000 reward for information regarding the suspect’s identity.

The State Department did not release the identity of the victim, but ABC News reported that the Mexican attorney general’s office identified the victim as Christopher Ashcraft, a foreign service officer based in the city.

Local police said Ashcroft was in stable condition, according to ABC News, which reported that the State Department was working with Mexican law enforcement on the case.
