Pence family adopts new kitten, puppy

The Pence family has adopted a new puppy and kitten, one week after the family cat died.

The family welcomed the two new pets, named Harley and Hazel, on Sunday, according to an Instagram post.

"And with loss, comes new life," Vice President Pence's daughter Charlotte wrote on Instagram. "Welcome to our family Harley and Hazel! And happy Father's Day to the best dad who deserves a puppy and so much more."

The family's 13-year-old cat, Oreo, died last week. They also have another cat, Pickles, and a bunny named Marlon Bundo.
