New York Post updates Trump ‘Survivor’ cover with Bannon’s ouster

The New York Post has once again updated its cover depicting President Trump’s White House as an episode of the reality TV show “Survivor,” after it was announced Friday that Chief Strategist Stephen Bannon is leaving the administration.

“Another one bites the dust,” read the tweet from the Post, placing a large red “X” over Bannon’s face.

In July, the newspaper ran another version of the cover after White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci was fired after just 10 days in the White House.

“The tribe has spoken again,” the New York Post wrote on Twitter shortly after Scaramucci’s firing. The former press aide was ousted after a profanity-laced interview with The New Yorker’s Ryan Lizza criticizing former chief of staff Reince Priebus and the now-ousted Bannon.

Bannon was ousted Friday after weeks of speculation about his possible removal. The former chief strategist shocked many earlier in the week when he gave a surprise interview with the left-leaning news outlet The American Prospect, in which he publicly broke with the administration on North Korea and other issues.{mosads}

“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day. We are grateful for his service and wish him the best,” said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a statement.
