Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly blamed his recent firing from the network on the liberal activists he dubbed “forces of evil and darkness.”

“I think people have to realize, No. 1, how severe the problem has become, and No. 2, that it’s going to take courage to fight it,” O’Reilly said in an interview with Breitbart News. “I’m the poster boy for that. I’ve been under attack for 16 years, and finally, these forces of evil and darkness got me. It was a confluence of events that someday all of it will be exposed.”

{mosads}O’Reilly was fired from his long-running show, “The O’Reilly Factor,” after a New York Times story detailed a series of sexual harassment allegations and related out-of-court settlements involving the conservative host.

Since leaving his show on Fox, O’Reilly has become a contributor on conservative talk show host Glenn Beck’s show.
