First lady Melania Trump shared photos Saturday of her visit with the Beijing Zoo's famous "goodwill ambassador," Gu Gu the panda.
"Wonderful to meet Gu Gu," the first lady tweeted along with a picture of her in the giant panda's enclosure.
As she arrived at the zoo on Friday, Trump was greeted by a group of school children waving Chinese and American flags. The children later sang for the first lady.
After leaving the zoo, Trump visited the Great Wall, where she took in the view from a watchtower.
The panda is a "goodwill ambassador of the zoo," the Beijing zoo director previously told reporters.
The visit marked the end of the solo portion of the first lady's China trip, which began after President Trump departed the country to continue his 12-day diplomatic trip across the continent.
