Stormy Daniels spoke about alleged affair with Trump in 2007 radio appearance: report

A Florida radio personality recently told his listeners that adult film star Stormy Daniels discussed her alleged affair with President Trump during a 2007 appearance on his program, CNN reports

During his shows Friday and Monday, radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge Clem played portions of his May 2007 interview with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. During the segment, Daniels was asked to write down the names of men she'd slept with, but nobody on the show would reveal the name.

Clem told listeners Friday that the first name on the list was Trump, though the president's name is never mentioned on air, according to audio obtained by CNN. The network said it spoke to another person who was in the studio on the day of Daniels's interview who also said Trump was the first name on her list.

In the clips played Friday, Daniels talks about an affair she had with a man in Lake Tahoe in the previous year. Her account on the show matches others she gave in a 2011 interview with In Touch Magazine and in a nondisclosure agreement she signed regarding the alleged affair.

Daniels's attorney declined to comment to CNN, and Clem told the network in a statement that he doesn't believe the alleged affair is "that big of a deal."

"We need to stop worrying about the past and focus on the future. President Trump is our President, regardless of who he slept with 12 years ago. The media and haters need to get over it," Clem told CNN.

The alleged affair came to the forefront after The Wall Street Journal reported in January that Trump's longtime personal attorney, Michael Cohen, paid Daniels $130,000 in "hush money" just before the 2016 election as part of a nondisclosure agreement.

Cohen has acknowledged making the payment, but has denied the affair took place.

Daniels has since filed a lawsuit alleging the nondisclosure agreement is invalid because Trump never signed it.

Her lawyer wrote to Cohen on Monday offering to return the payment in return for Daniels's freedom to speak about the affair. However, Cohen is said to have missed the deadline for accepting the agreement.
