Twitter users mock Trump lawyer after FBI raid by resurfacing 2015 tweet on Clinton

Social media users mocked President Trump’s personal lawyer on Monday after FBI agents raided his office.

Twitter users resurfaced a 2015 tweet from attorney Michael Cohen about Hillary Clinton going “to prison,” which he tweeted during a Democratic primary debate.

FBI agents raided Cohen’s Manhattan office on Monday and seized documents related to the $130,000 payment he made to adult-film star Stormy Daniels, which she says was to keep her quiet about an affair with Trump.

{mosads}Cohen’s lawyer said that federal prosecutors obtained a search warrant for the office after receiving a referral “in part” from special counsel Robert Mueller, who has reportedly been looking into Cohen in some aspects of his investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Cohen has admitted to making the payment to Daniels, but has denied accusations that the payment violated campaign finance rules.

Twitter users, including Trump’s hometown paper, were quick to mock Cohen for the tweet about Clinton:
