The right-leaning Post has been a frequent antagonist of de Blasio, with a Post reporter removed from the 2018 Dominican Day parade after attempting to ask him a question.

The incident prompted a war of words between opinion editor Seth Mandel and CNN’s Brian Stelter over how Stelter handled an interview with de Blasio following the reporter’s removal.
