Republican voters are more enthusiastic than either party has been since 1994, according to a new Gallup poll.

Fifty-nine percent of GOP voters (or voters who "lean" Republican) said they are more enthusiastic about voting in 2010 than they have been for previous elections.

That's the highest level of enthusiasm that Gallup has found in a midterm election since they started asking the question in 1994.

When Democrats took back control of Congress in 2006, exactly half of their voters said they were more enthusiastic than usual.
