Support for the war in Afghanistan took a modest hit after thousands of classified documents were published by WikiLeaks, according to a new Gallup poll.

Forty-three percent of Americans now believe the war was a mistake, a 5 percent bump from before publication of the documents and the highest opposition Gallup has found.

A majority, 52 percent, still say sending troops to Afghanistan war was the right thing to do.

The poll also found a drop in President Obama's approval in handling Afghanistan, which now stands at 36 percent.
