In a rare public appearance Friday, former President George W. Bush teed off at a charity golf tournament, but it took him more than one effort to get the ball in play.

Bush appeared at the Patriot Golf Day to benefit Folds of Honor, a charity that awards scholarships to children of military veterans.

Fox News was on hand to film the 43rd president take the course in Waco, Texas. But Bush needed a mulligan to get a good first shot.

President Obama is also an avid golfer, but cameras have rarely filmed him playing during his outings.
